We are happy to introduce our PhD candidate Henri Debray at our Earth Observation Research Hub.

Henri holds a master’s degree in Urban Engineering and a master’s degree in Geographical Information Engineering both of which he obtained in France. Since 2019 he has been a TUM PhD candidate working at the Earth Observation Center (EOC) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) under the joint supervision of Prof. Xiaoxiang Zhu (TUM) and Prof. Hannes Taubenböck. Henri’s thesis focuses on the use of remote sensing and spatial data analysis in the study of the intra-urban morphology across the globe. Through his study, Henri’s goal is to develop new comprehensive knowledge on the urban morphology accounting for the large diversity of cities existing in the world and the richness of the urban processes that shaped them in their current morphologies. In November 2023, Henri joined the EOR at the University Würzburg to continue his doctoral project and lecture at the University for the EAGLE master program.
