Our PI Florian Betz was invited to give a seminar talk about his research on remote sensing of river dynamics at the ENS Lyon in France. The seminar “Cafe Fluvial” is part of the doctoral training and research network “H2O Lyon” in which a number of research institutions in the Lyon region are coming together for interdisciplinary research on river systems and how to manage them in a nature positive way. H2O Lyon is a unique ecosystem for river research in Europe and we are excited to initiate a collaboration on how to leverage state-of-the-art remote sensing methods for better understanding river systems from local to global scales.
