Today, we provided our international Eagle MSc students with access to the professional network of our EORC to assist them in finding suitable internships or MSc thesis topics. Several individuals offered their networks, including Hannes Taubenboeck for georisk and urban studies, Julian Faeth for forest-related topics, Mirjana Bevanda for Earth observation research in ecology focused on South Africa and the Arctic, Basil Tufail for high mountain Earth observation, Sebastian Buchelt for glaciers and snow/ice research, and Insa Otte for conservation applications in Rwanda (see picture). During a one-hour discussion, students explored potential internship and thesis opportunities, with many leaving with concrete ideas for their future research and placements.
