Summer Event of the EOR

Summer Event of the EOR

m

July 31, 2023

On 27th of July we had our annual summer event with talks and lots of time for socializing. It was very exciting to listen to what our old colleagues or EAGLE students are doing nowadays. From working in international research organizations or founding their own EO company or pursuing their PhDs, all kind of academic careers were present during our summer event. As usual the summer BBQ was very international and that reflected the very divers buffet with dishes from Ghana, Iran, Nigeria, China and many other regions of the world. We also had colleagues from our disciplines joining us e.g. Biology department and Informatics who were happy to see such a buzzling group of current and past students and colleagues enjoying to see each other, revitalizing old and making new friendships – or establishing new scientific collaborations.

Also some new ideas were discussed how to further improve the interactions among all the different people and some of the suggestions will hopefully be established in the next months. We are very thankful for all who helped to organize and we are very much looking forward to the next summer event.
