Visit of master’s students from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt to DLR

On 19.12.2024, Master’s students from Prof. Dr. Melanie Brandmeier, our long-standing cooperation partner at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt visited the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen.

 

They visited the Centre for Satellite Based Crisis Information (ZKI). Kayla Barginda introduced the diverse fields of activity of the ZKI. Monika Friedemann introduced technical development work at the reference platform that enables that geodata sets in various fields can be utilized by decision-makers. And Prof. Hannes Taubenböck gave a general introduction to DLR and the Earth Observation Center (EOC). Beyond this, the students visited the German Space Operations Center (GSOC).
