Visit of the German Aerospace Center (DLR)

September 18, 2024

Students from the Institute of Geography and Geology recently had the exciting opportunity to visit the Earth Observation Center (EOC) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Guided by Dr. Doris Klein, Prof. Hannes Taubenböck, and other colleagues from the DLR, the students explored key facilities such as the German Space Operations Center (GSOC) and the Center for Satellite-Based Crisis Information (ZKI). This provided them with valuable insights into space missions and satellite technology, highlighting the intersection between space technology and Earth sciences.
