Drone data collection in South Africa

August 7, 2023

Various stuy sites are currently covered by drone/uas/uav missions, collecting multispectral data for various ecological studies. Fine-scale landscape properties are of high interest to understand causal relationships in these tropical systems. Many processes act on smaller scale and understanding them and upscaling it to space borne sensors such as sentinel 1 or 2 is goal of this project. The data collection is also processed on-site so that all results can be shown and discussed with our collaborators right after the acquisition. Preliminary results will also be posted here in the next days.
