June 4, 2024

One of the highlights of the University of Würzburg‘s participation in this year’s Africa Festival 2024 was undoubtedly the visit by Claudia Roth, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, to the university tent. At least that’s what the visitor numbers in the university tent on May 31 showed. Claudia Roth discussed topics of colonialism and colonial traces in Würzburg with students from the University of Würzburg, including students from the EAGLE Master’s program at the EORC.

The discussion in the university tent was moderated by Sarah Bergh and opened by the speaker of the Forum Africa Centre, Prof. Ronald Bogaschewsky, and the President of the University of Würzburg, Prof. Paul Pauli.
