Last year’s guest scientist are about to defend their theses

January 27, 2025

Our WASCAL guest scientists from last year are now approaching a significant milestone in their academic journey—the defense of their doctoral theses. As they prepare for this crucial step, we are actively participating in the preparatory seminars at the WASCAL graduate schools, supporting them in their final stages of research and presentation. Their dedication, hard work, and resilience throughout this challenging process have been truly inspiring, and we are confident that they will successfully defend their research.

We extend our best wishes to all the doctoral candidates as they finalize their dissertations and get ready for their defense. Their contributions to climate research and sustainable development are invaluable, and we look forward to seeing the impact of their work in the future.

Some of our esteemed guests from 2024 are featured in the accompanying picture (from left to right): Barbara Baidoo (not part of the WASCAL GSP), Ousmane Badji (KNUST, Kumasi), Aliou Gadiaga, and Adjowa Yéwa Tossoukpe (both from FUT Minna, Nigeria).
