July 12, 2025

We’re happy to announce that our summer BBQ is happening again on Thursday, July 24th at 4 pm! Alongside good food and a relaxed atmosphere, we’re also hosting a series of short talks highlighting exciting topics in Earth Observation and environmental science:

  • “The Earth from an Animal’s Perspective: Environmental Monitoring with ICARUS”
    Gregor Langer, CEO Talos

  • “Natural Hazards and Disaster Risk Research in South America”
    Elisabeth Schöpfer, DLR GZS

  • “Use of simultaneously registered airborne photography and LIDAR data for the assessment of beech decline. First impressions from the LWF-project AirLaserSpec”
    Rudolf Seitz, LWF

  • “EAGLE LPS (Legendary Party Symposium): From Scene Segmentation to Personal Contemplation.”
    Marlene Bauer and Lukas Fronzeck

So, quite a variety of colleagues who share insights into their EO-related projects and research.

After the talks, we’ll fire up the grill and enjoy a relaxed social evening with food, drinks, and great company – everyone is welcome to stay until late!
