July 11, 2024

Our engagement in Africa since 20 years stretches across the whole continent with various research and training activities. Other groups are also dedicated to research and training in Africa and organised science schools, joint field sampling and international projects. The expertise by our colleagues from Senckenberg and our remote sensing expertise showed a lot of potential for collaborative research especially in Africa but not limited to this continent.
First joint activities like joint formal workshops with our colleagues from Africa as well as outlining interdisciplinary msc topics were decided during our initial informal meeting.
Looking forward to interesting and fruitful joint projects!
