Earth Observation field work in the Arctic

Earth Observation field work in the Arctic

April 13, 2023

In various arctic sites UAS data was acquired for environmental research. Our colleague Dr. Mirjana Bevanda worked with Prof. Dr. Larissa Beumer on the diverse Earth Observation data options for arctic monitoring with respect to biological research. Beyond this collaboration also other topics were identified with colleagues of Larissa and will be followed up – not only UAS but also space-borne remote sensing and especially its integration.

Beside the joint environmental research also joint teaching activities and student exchange was discussed and first ideas will be realized in the near future.

We are very much looking forward to explore this fascinating ecosystem in more detail and to the various highly interesting collaborations.
