November 27, 2023

On Monday 27th of November we were honored to welcome Dr. Eleanor Stokes, Program Manager for the Earth Information Center at the NASA Headquarters in Washington D.C. for a guest presentation at the Earth Observation Center (EOC) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). We were very happy to welcome so many attendees to the exciting presentation titled “NASA’s Earth Information Center – getting data and insights about planetary change out to the science-curious public“. In her talk she introduced NASA’s Earth Information Center (EIC) and the general mission to trace the path and process of gathering, interpreting, and translating data into actionable information.

Afterwards discussions on joint project developments between DLR and NASA have been carried out. And, a meeting was held with respect to the next Joint Urban Remote Sensing Event (JURSE) that will be held in 2025 in Tunisia as Dr. Eleanor Stokes has become part of the team of conference chairs.
