A new guest scientist from the WASCAL Doctoral Studies Programme on Climate Change and Land Use at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi (Ghana) arrived this week. George analyzes “The relationship between climate variability, land use land-cover change and migration in northern Ghana”. His research is supervised by Prof. Edward Matthew Osei Jnr, Dr. Divine Odame Appiah (both KNUST), and Dr. Kwame Hackman (WASCAL).

George presented and discussed his research progress in the weekly colloquium at the Institute of Geography and Geology on Thursday, May 6, where a fruitful discussion started.

We are very much looking forward to the cooperation, specifically with our MIGRAWARE team.
