New staff member Manuel Koeberl

Manuel studied Environmental System Sciences and Geography in Graz at the Karl-Franzens-University. After finishing his bachelor´s degree, he started to study Geospatial Technologies at the University of Technology in Graz. During this time, Manuel worked as a student assistant on urban land surface temperatures from satellite data. Manuel conducted his master thesis in cooperation with the City and Society team from the German Aerospace Center. He analyzed the topic availability and accessibility of green urban areas in European cities. In October 2022, Manuel joined the Earth Observation Research Hub and his current interests are social inequalities and how to find them with remote-sensing-based approaches.
