On day 2 of the ifo Conference on “Understanding Socio-Economic Inequalities with Novel Data and Methods”, DLR and EORC contributed again.

 

Constance Kehne presented a collaborative research study of DLR (Thilo Erbertseder and Prof. Hannes Taubenböck) with the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management (Prof. Martin Jacob, Chair of Finance, Accounting and Taxation). The presentation titled “Dirty Taxes – Corporate Taxes and Air Pollution” revealed that in Germany a 1% increase in business taxes increases NO2 levels by 0.19%.
