Barbara Baidoo, a PhD Fellow at UNU-INRA, is involved in our LANDSURF project (funded by BMBF through WASCAL within the WASCAL II frame) while pursuing her doctoral studies at the Department of Geography and Resource Development, University of Ghana, Legon. Her research interests are on climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, climate vulnerability analysis, and the application of remote sensing.

Barbara’s current work centers on exploring the integration of indigenous local knowledge with scientific methods through remote sensing techniques. She aims to develop a database of local climate indicators relevant to agriculture in Ghana and assess how local climate adaptation and mitigation strategies can align with her country’s Nationally Determined Contributions to combat escalating climate impacts.
