Our EORC contributed an invited lecture with a discussion at the vhs Kitzingen. It was part of a series of events on the energy transition and climate protection in the Kitzingen region in cooperation with the Kitzingen District Office.

“Distance creates clarity” – this saying can be applied particularly well to remote sensing: Satellites observe the earth from space and collect valuable data for research and application: on the one hand, covering entire continents, and on the other hand, with the highest level of detail. Our professor Hannes Taubenböck gave a talk titled “What the view from space reveals – How our behavior changes the planet and ourselves” where he presented and discussed latest developments and research findings on urbanization and related societal processes.
