Workshop on interdisciplinary studies of EO and health

Workshop on interdisciplinary studies of EO and health

October 2, 2024

At the German Earth Observation Center (DLR), we recently hosted an inspiring workshop focused on bridging the gap between space technology and real-world applications. In collaboration with experts from the Helmholtz Munich Epidemiology Institute (HMGU) and our EORC of the University of Würzburg, our teams explored the transformative potential of space-borne remote sensing data in fields such as public health, epidemiology, and environmental monitoring.

The exchange of ideas opened up new avenues for collaboration, with the potential to drive advancements in areas like disease tracking, air quality analysis, and sustainable resource management. By leveraging interdisciplinary expertise, we aim to convert raw satellite data into new knowledge in the domains of public health, environmental sustainability, and beyond.
