Professor Appolonia A. Okhimamhe visits DLR

November 15, 2024

This week, we were delighted to welcome Professor Appolonia A. Okhimamhe from the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna, Nigeria, to the German Aerospace Center (DLR). She is a Professor of Geography and the Director of the Doctoral Programme on Climate Change and Human Habitat (CC&HH) at the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL).

Our partnership with Professor Okhimamhe has a long history, particularly through our joint work on the MIGRAWARE project. This collaboration has included joint publications, guest lectures at FUT Minna and co-supervision of PhD students in the CC&HH programme, focusing on innovative solutions at the intersection of climate change, migration, and human habitat.
