November 24, 2025

Today, staff from the EORC successfully completed a joint first aid course held in our department. During the training, participants learned the essential methods needed to assist colleagues and students in case of injuries. The course covered practical techniques, emergency response steps, and real-life scenarios relevant to our daily work environment.

Inspired by the positive experience, the team decided to organise a follow-up course focusing on medical procedures required during fieldwork in challenging environments such as Africa, the Arctic, and other remote regions. This upcoming training will ensure that our staff are well prepared for the specific health and safety situations that can arise during fieldwork.

Beyond strengthening our emergency response capabilities, the course proved to be a valuable team-building activity. Colleagues from across the department had the opportunity to collaborate, exchange experiences, and develop new skills together
