EORC and DLR witness OroraTech’s launch of eight satellites for wildfire monitoring.

The company OroraTech in Munich has successfully launched the World’s First Satellite Constellation for Wildfire Detection yesterday. Congratulations for this important milestone and these major achievements in providing solutions for combating and monitoring forest fires worldwide.

In the past years Ororatech and DLR have teamed up and worked together in several research projects to improve research for burnt area monitoring and near-real time applications. We are looking forward to the new data and to continue this cooperation in the years to come.
