We thank Patrick Aravena Pelizari from the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for giving a guest lecture entitled “Master’s, research associate, service staff, Phd – A career at a large-scale research facility” on June 28 at the EAGLE course “Science from wall to wall – from proposal to publication” (04-GEO-SOS8). In his lecture, he shared insights and personal experiences on various roles in a large-scale research facility as well as the day-to-day tasks involved.
