Invited presentation at the Munich creative Business Week

May 8, 2026

As part of the Munich creative Business Week (https://www.mcbw.de/), Schnitzer& GmbH https://www.schnitzerund.de/sonst/studio/ki organized two evening events entitled “Das macht jetzt die KI. Chancen und Risiken” [engl. “AI does that now. Opportunities and risks”].

Our Professor Hannes Taubenböck was invited to one of the events https://www.mcbw.de/programm/detail/event/07-05/das-macht-jetzt-die-ki-chancen-und-risiken to present remote sensing approaches using AI for image analysis in the field of “building and living”.  In his presentation entitled “Das macht jetzt die KI – Fernerkundliche Ansätze zur Frage ‚wie und wo wir wohnen (wollen)” [engl. „This is what AI is doing now – remote sensing approaches to the question of ‘how and where we (want to) live'”], he discussed how AI is used in the Earth observation field, what opportunities and risks arise and what ethical aspects need to be considered. In combination with other speakers (Sabine Richly on AI and legal issues) and Jakob Schnitzer (on methodological AI aspects) the event led to an exciting exchange and discussion.
