Poster Presentation at AK Hydrologie, Bonn

November 15, 2025

From November 13 to 15, Sofia Haag and Christian Schäfer attended the AK Hydrologie workshop in Bonn, where they presented their work from the EO4CAM project. The first day featured an insightful field excursion to the Ahrtal region, led by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Herget, examining the impacts and lessons learned from the July 2021 floods. On Saturday, the conference featured a series of presentations on various hydrological topics, followed by an afternoon poster session, where EORC staff presented their poster titled “Event-based Overland Runoff Modeling.” The poster showcased a containerized r.sim.water workflow for simulating surface runoff during heavy precipitation events, with a case study of the Leitenbach catchment. The workshop provided excellent opportunities to exchange ideas with the geographical-hydrological community and gather feedback on their approaches.
