March 29, 2025

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) organized the Space Day 2025 at the XPost in Cologne on 28 March 2025. Together with the European Space Agency (ESA), the event provided fascinating insights into the diversity of research and space technology. The topics ranged from the exploration of our planets in the solar system, earth observation, space systems and space medicine to communication and navigation and other applications from space for the earth: https://event.dlr.de/dlr-tagderraumfahrt-2025/#1653490789858-6d1df2ae-ccef

One part of the event was a Space Slam, in which DLR employees gave short presentations to the interested public to explain the various research works of DLR. Hannes Taubenböck presented an overview on Earth observation topics and discussed the research field and the findings with the audience.
