As part of the DAAD’s Climate Change Networking Tour 2022, a group of dedicated advanced doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers from various African countries stopped by the Department of Remote Sensing on the 6th of September 2022. All participants and staff members from the Department of Remote Sensing and the Department of Geography – Physical Geography / Climatology (both Institute of Geography and Geology, University of Würzburg) introduced themselves and their research interests and activities. Opportunities for discussing and mutual exchange of research foci, interests, and results were manifold and abundantly taken up in intense bilateral or group discussions. The day was supplemented by live demos showcasing current innovative developments in the field of Data Cubes and Unmanned Aerial Systems for earth observation and remote sensing research.
