end of the year greetings

December 22, 2023

The year 2023 is nearly over and the EORC staff and students left for a 1-2 week break. Also our news blog will take time off and we will be back with EORC news after the vacation period.

This year was an exciting and intense year, we moved into a brand new building, had to deal with delays of furniture delivery, computing hardware shortage and plenty of weather obstacles within our field campaigns…. but we managed to solve all of the smaller and larger issues along the way and are now happily working in our new offices, with brand new furniture and lots of computing power, plus a lot of great new colleagues who joined us in 2023. We also got to know our new EAGLEs who are again lots of fun to work with!

We are also very grateful to our various collaborators in Germany, Europe, Africa, Arctic and many other regions – our research projects would not have been so productive and fun without them!

We are very much looking forward to 2024 – with new colleagues already starting in January and various new projects!
