March 15, 2024

The Earth Observation Research Cluster (EORC) management board convened last week to discuss the current developments within our EORC and to define future pathways.
The management board consists of Prof. Dr. Stefan Dech, Prof. Dr. Hannes Taubenböck, Prof. Dr. Claudia Künzer, Prof. Dr. Tobias Ullmann, Dr. Martin Wegmann, Dr. Doris Klein (DLR-DFD) and Dr. Michael Thiel. The rules of procedure of the EORC were adopted. Prof. Stefan Dech was elected as spokesperson for EORC. The EORC, a joint cluster of the department of remote sensing by Stefan Dech and the department of global urbanization and remote sensing by Hannes Taubenböck, is already well established within the university and has various ongoing collaborations within and outside the University of Wuerzburg.
The management board meeting elected unanimously Martin as EORC manager and due to the department heads being at the same time institute or department heads at DLR, also Tobias and Martin as deputies for the department heads of the two remote sensing departments in Würzburg.
