Our EORC staff member Dr. Insa Otte recently visited the Department of Environmental Sciences and Agriculture of the North-West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa. The aim of the visit was preparing the joint upcoming project “Climate-smart agriculture for all – Building a “farmer-led” risk management system” together with Dr. Henno Havenga, discussing and elaborating the potential of an upcoming datacube for South Africa with Prof. George van Zijl and Prof. Frank Neumann as well as visiting the NWUs field experiment sites (NWU’s agricultural test sides, weather radar, etc.) for further research and data collection campaigns.

We’d like to thank NWU for a very fruitful exchange and are excited about the upcoming collaborations!
