Rock-In: Kicking Off the Semester With Climbing, Conversation, and Community

What better way to start the semester than by climbing some walls and breaking the ice—literally and figuratively? Today, we hosted our first social event of the semester at the local boulder gym: Rock-In!

It was a relaxed morning designed to bring everyone together—new students, older EAGLE generations, and even a few of our lecturers joined in on the fun. Whether people were seasoned climbers or just testing the waters (or rather, the walls) for the first time, the focus was on getting to know one another.

New students had a chance to chat with older generations, hear a few tips about life and study from those who’ve been there, and, just as importantly, connect with their own classmates in a setting far from lecture halls and textbooks.

Laughter, chalky hands, and shared encouragement filled the air. Conversations flowed just as easily as people scrambled up the routes—some fast, some slow, all with a smile.

We’re looking forward to many more events like this throughout the year. Here’s to new beginnings, new friendships, and maybe even a few sore muscles!
