This year, the popular Science Slam of the University of Würzburg is celebrating its tenth anniversary – a great reason to host not just one, but two exciting evenings:
Friday, 7 November 2025, 7:00–9:00 p.m. – the regular competition
Saturday, 8 November 2025, 7:00–9:00 p.m. – the “Best of” from ten years of Science Slam
The stage will be set in the lecture hall building Z6 on the Hubland Campus.
We are especially delighted that Hannes Taubenböck, the 2024 winner and head of our Chair of Global Urbanization and Remote Sensing, will open the evening on Friday with a special slam performance – setting the tone for this anniversary edition as last year’s champion.
At the start of the evening on Friday, Hannes Taubenböck will take the stage out of competition, followed by seven scientists, each with seven minutes to present their research.
The “Best of” event on Saturday will feature selected highlights from the past ten years.

Admission: only €6 per evening – proceeds support the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship program, which funds dedicated students.
