Save the Date: Celebrating 25 Years of Remote Sensing at University Würzburg

November 14, 2025

Next year marks a very special milestone for us. The Department of Remote Sensing is turning 25!
Together, we’ll also celebrate 10 years of the EAGLE MSc program and 5 years of the Department of Global Urbanisation and Remote Sensing. These anniversaries represent decades of curiosity, collaboration, and growth—thanks to the people who have shaped our community along the way.
To honor these achievements, we invite you to save the date (July 16th 2026) for a day of celebration filled with inspiring talks and delightful company. We’ll host a series of presentations by invited speakers who have contributed to the field of remote sensing – in Wuerzburg and beyond, reflecting on how far we’ve come and where the next decades might take us.
Afterward, we’ll shift from professional to social mode with a casual gathering featuring a BBQ, drinks, and plenty of good memories to share. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect, celebrate our collective success, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with colleagues, friends, and partners.
More details, including the program and registration information, will follow soon. For now, mark your calendars – July 16th from 3pm onwards —we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
