Ideas and Inspiration: Our Internship & MSc Thesis Fair

This week we hosted our annual EORC Internship and MSc Thesis Fair, bringing together our research staff and the current cohort of EAGLE students. As always, the event offered a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere—an ideal setting for exploring future academic pathways.

During the fair, our researchers presented a broad selection of possible internship placements, innoLab activities, and MSc thesis topics. The diversity of themes was once again remarkable:
—from urban remote sensing to nature conservation,
—from African landscapes to the Arctic environment,
—from deep-learning approaches in forest monitoring to UAS-based field operations.

Students moved from table to table, engaging in lively discussions, asking thoughtful questions, and exploring how their interests might connect with ongoing research within our research projects and academic network. Many already found promising directions for their upcoming projects, while others left with a fresh set of ideas and renewed motivation for the next steps in their studies.

What stood out most was the enthusiasm on both sides. Our academicl staff enjoyed sharing insights and possibilities, and the students clearly appreciated the open exchange and supportive guidance.

With this fair, we once again strengthened the bridge between teaching and research—helping ensure that each student can shape a project that is meaningful, feasible, and well-supported within the EAGLE study programme.

We look forward to seeing these ideas grow into exciting internships, innovative innoLabs, and strong MSc theses in the coming months.
