A Fresh Look of the Foyer and Seminarroom for our Events

Over the past weeks, our foyer and seminar rooms have received a thoughtful upgrade that reflects both the spirit and the scope of our research community. The spaces now feature large-scale prints that visually showcase the diverse research topics within our group, transforming the walls into a vibrant gallery of remote sensing science.

Complementing these prints are several large roll-ups that outline the scope and aims of our projects. These displays help visitors, collaborators, and students quickly understand the themes and goals that drive our work. Together, the visuals create an inviting and informative environment that highlights the interdisciplinary nature of remote sensing research.

The atmosphere has also been significantly enhanced with a generous collection of plants, kindly provided by the Botanical Garden of the University of Würzburg. The greenery adds warmth and life to the rooms, creating a welcoming space for discussion, collaboration, and learning.

In addition, our seminar facilities now benefit from improved sound and microphone equipment, made possible through the support of the University of Würzburg’s RZ department. The upgraded audio setup ensures that talks esp. for larger events run smoothly and can be enjoyed by the large audience.

The result is a foyer and seminar area that not only looks great but is also well equipped for the many events we host. With several larger gatherings taking place this week and more planned in the coming months, the refreshed space provides an ideal setting for presentations, workshops, and community exchange.

We are grateful to the Botanical Garden and the RZ team for their support in making these improvements possible—and we look forward to welcoming many visitors to the new space.
