EO4CAM at Tag der Hydrologie 2026 in Kassel

March 6, 2026

From March 4–6, 2026, Sofia Haag from the EO4CAM project attended the Tag der Hydrologie conference in Kassel. Held under the theme “Water resources under pressure,” the conference brought together researchers and practitioners to discuss current challenges and developments in hydrology. The program featured a wide range of presentations and poster sessions covering topics such as water availability, hydrological modelling, and the impacts of climate change on water systems.

During the conference, Sofia Haag presented her research on surface runoff modelling. The work explores approaches to better understand and simulate runoff processes, which are increasingly important as hydrological systems face growing pressure from climate variability and land-use changes.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity for exchange within the hydrological research community and for discussing interdisciplinary approaches to water resource management.

The next Tag der Hydrologie conference is scheduled to take place in Leipzig in 2027.
