This week, 14 students are attending a test run of our Remote Sensing module on Remote Sensing for Biodiversity Conservation at the University of Kinshasa. This module is part of the EOCap4Africa project (funded by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, lead Dr. Insa Otte). Our project partners, Prof. Jean-Paul Kibambe Lubamba, Pacifique Madibi organized the training session and were supported with lectures from Joel Tungi and Espérance Kandjale – all guided the students through the interactive module with largely practical exercises and freely available software to ensure long-term applicability, accessibility usage.
We are thankful for the excellent and fruitful cooperation with the University of Kinshasa and would like to deeply thank our local partners for their outstanding organization and preparation.
