This week, over 25 students are attending a training session at the Institute of Applied Sciences (INES) in Ruhengeri, Rwanda, using the MSc module on Remote Sensing for Biodiversity Conservation that we developed. This module is part of the EOCap4Africa project (funded by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation). Our project partners, Dr. Ange Félix Nsanziyera and Fratern Rugira, will guide the students through the module’s largely practical exercises. Students are introduced to freely available software to ensure long-term accessibility and use.
We are delighted with the excellent cooperation with INES and would like to thank our local partners for their outstanding organization and preparation. The pictures below give some impressions from the starting session.
