Einblick, the University of Würzburg’s press medium, published an article on our double anniversary, 25 years of Earth observation research and 10 years of EAGLE M.Sc. program, today. Recently, they has visited us at our EORC to hear about our research and teaching and to talk to some of our staff and students.
For the article, they interviewed Jakob Schwalb-Willmann, one of the very first EAGLE students and Aoibhin Murphy, who just started the program as part of the 10th generation. Portraying the journeys of two Earth Observation researchers a decade apart having studied the same M.Sc. program is a nice way to show how far EAGLE has come.
University press also covered Martin Wegmann, the longest-serving person in the department, with this year marking his 21st anniversary here. Twenty-one years is a long time to stick with one place. It says something about what has kept him around.
We are pretty happy our anniversaries got picked up beyond our own channels. It is one thing for us to tell our own story, but another when our University press does it!
