EORC, DLR and the Geolingual Studies team contribute to the CAIDAS Scientific Opening

The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (CAIDAS) of the University of Würzburg has organized a two-day AI conference, as a form of “scientific opening” of the Center. This two-day event took place on October 29-30, 2025 at the University of Würzburg: https://sites.google.com/view/caidasconf/home

 

The ‘Chair of Global Urbanization and Remote Sensing’ within our EORC, which is hold by our Prof. Dr. Hannes Taubenböck, is part of CAIDAS. At the conference, he gave a spotlight talk titled “Remote Sensing and AI for urbanization research“.

Together with the Chair of English Linguistics (Prof. Dr. Carolin Biewer), the Geolingual Studies Team – Dr. Ninja Schulz, Dr. Lisa Lehnen, Dr. Lemoine Rodriguez, Johannes Mast, De-Cyuan Jheng – (https://www.phil.uni-wuerzburg.de/gls) presented two posters at the conference on the various joint works combining remote sensing and text data.
