As a highlight of the third day of our training at KNUST on the use of remote sensing for biodiversity conservation, we took our participants on a field excursion to the nearby Owabi Wildlife Sanctuary. Guided by experienced local experts, we explored the area and had the opportunity to collect field data ourselves.
On site, we engaged in discussions on various topics including tree cover, vegetation, and biodiversity. We were once again accompanied by the Director of the WASCAL CC-LU Graduate School, Prof. Dr. Wilson A. Agyare, along with members of his team.
A special thanks goes to our EOCap4Africa trainer Da Costa Asare for his continued support.
