The countdown is on. With our combined 25th anniversary of EORC and 10th anniversary of EAGLE just around the corner, the whole cluster has been buzzing with preparation. And we mean the whole cluster, staff and students alike have been pitching in on everything from the small logistical details to the bigger creative work.
Some of us have been deep in the archives pulling together a timeline that stretches all the way back to 2001, others have been redesigning banners big enough to cover a wall, and a few have been writing up the story of these last 25 years for the university press. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t always show up in a photo, but it’s what makes a milestone like this actually come together.
We’re expecting around 250 guests to join us, which is honestly a bit wild to think about. Two and a half decades of research, and a decade of training the next generation of Earth observation scientists through EAGLE, all coming together in one room.
More updates to come as we get closer. For now, just know there’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and it’s been genuinely fun to watch it all take shape.
