Christmas vibes in the University Forest

Christmas vibes in the University Forest

December 17, 2025

Today, EORC staff visited the University Forest in Sailershausen, focusing on routine field activities and collecting impressions for future research. This included data collection from existing loggers and installing additional probes to support ongoing measurements. Such visits support ongoing monitoring activities and provide a general overview of the current condition of the University Forest, which can help inform ideas for future research projects.

Alongside technical work, the visit also provided an opportunity to express our appreciation for the constructive cooperation with Daniel Kraus, particularly within the EO4CAM project, and to convey seasonal greetings and best wishes for the coming year.

Christmas vibes were also reflected in the lunch break, which was spent outdoors in the forest. Hot tea and coffee, as well as seasonal baked goods such as Spekulatius, contributed to a calm and reflective atmosphere.
